Hello there, I also want to mention that I tried out many solutions, and FancyWM is the best. Thank you. Adding to the initial post here: I wish for a default layout too. I am almost always using the stack layout and cycling through my windows, rearranging them based on my use. Each time my monitor goes to sleep, my stack resolves to multiple vertical tiles, and then I manually have to drag them into a stack again. I just need the stack layout, always. Only sometimes do I use tiling layouts. So I really have a strong desire for a standard layout. Also, I did not find a robust solution to my stack dissolving when my monitor goes to sleep. Thanks for reading. |

It would be amazing to see an option in FancyWM that allows users to define a initial layout.
For example, a two stack-panels splited in horizontal like on the screen with possibility to set static width:
It would also be great if the user could lock the initial layout so that the panels cannot be removed.
I've tested many similar tools, yet I always return to FancyWM - it's the closest to the workflow I'm looking for.
Thank you for the excellent work on this project. I'd really appreciate it if you could consider adding this feature.
