matrix/ROLES.md

Purpose

This file lists roles as descriptive labels used in Matrix entries. It defines no authority, no process, and no admissibility rules.

Roles here are observational:

  • who acted
  • who carried responsibility
  • who executed
  • who audited

Role Labels

  • Problem Owner

    • External party articulating the problem and its boundaries.
    • Responsible for the problem statement.
  • Claim Author

    • External party formulating claims bound to an explicit problem.
    • Responsible for claim phrasing and scope.
  • Admissibility Gate (MMS)

    • Performs structural checks only.
    • Outputs: admissible / STOP / Absence (no evaluation, no ranking).
  • Decision Holder

    • External party making commitments or mandates.
    • Responsible for decisions and their consequences.
  • Executor

    • External party performing actions in the world.
    • Responsible for implementation effects.
  • Auditor

    • External party performing ex post inspection.
    • Responsible for tracing and reporting drift.

Notes

  • Roles may be combined in real situations; this is a labeling convenience.
  • No role listed here grants authority by itself.
