We've been actively working on this area in the feature/tea-exec-process branch, which includes significant rendering and command execution improvements:

Atomic prompt clearing (\r\033[2K as single write) — prevents flickering on macOS Terminal.app
Per-line clearing (\033[K) in all viewport-based modes (Warp/Compact/Chat)
Platform-optimized terminal API via Phoenix TUI — uses native calls where available
Reworked command routing — Classic mode uses direct TTY (ExecProcess), non-classic modes capture output for viewport display
Runtime UI mode switching (Alt+1-4) with manual alt screen management

This will be merged to main in the coming days. In the meantime, you can try the branch directly:

All tests pass and it's stable. Your feedback on macOS would be very valuable since we've primarily tested on Windows/MSYS so far. Feel free to base any further contributions on this branch.
