spork on mac homebrew install

On MacOs I installed janet with "brew install janet"; all seems ok.
Trying to install spork with "jpm install spork", I get

What is this message telling me?

The jpm version installed by homebrew is outdated, but it can update itself. Run $ jpm install jpm and you should be good to go.

I think CFiggers wasn't saying that the homebrew package would be updated, but rather that jpm install jpm might work to update things.

Please see this for background regarding the error.

FWIW, the homebrew package is not maintained by Janet maintainers. It may be that the homebrew folks are an appropriate party to contact regarding updates.
