I need help configuring the mouse for this DOS app

@maron2000 You probably can help me. This app that I attach, works, but has huge problems with the mouse. It needs "machine = hercules". I cannot manage to get the mouse to work properly: the mouse cursor flies all over the screen and I cannot click on the menues I want. Do you think you can test it and see if a configuration fixes the mouse problem?

I did nothing to make it work. Tried on 2025.10.07 Release VS x64 SDL2 build with default option (machine=svga_s3)
I was suspecting mouse capture, but it works regardless of that.
Try with all default option, by launching from command prompt.

dosbox-x -defaultconf

machine=hercules didn't work, as you mentioned,
But setting it up for VGA(svga_s3) and EGA(ega) worked. I haven't tried others.
I guess you can raise a bug report if you wish.

Hi ! Many, MANY Thanks for testing and for all the info provided to get it to work. I am sure I have been running an earlier version of dosbox-x. I will check later when I get home. I appreciate your help very much.

Hello Maron2000 ! Many thanks for your help. I had previously a release from may 3rd. So I updated now to a release from oct 7th and I still cannot get it to run. It crashes.
