How to configure luacheck?

I have a configuration for Lua LSP, but it is unsupported on some architectures. I was trying to setup luacheck to recognize vim global and to remove warnings on setting undeclared variables (aka "some_global = value" to be valid), but to no avail.

This isn't really specific to null-ls so I would check out Luacheck's documentation or an example config file like the one used in the Neovim repo itself.

Defining a global config works wonders, however, that makes it so the vim global is recognized outside NeoVim configs.

globals = { "vim" }

Is there a way to make the local luacheck config recognized? Creating identical .luacheckrc in ~/.config/nvim/ does not work, at least from within null-ls.

I'm having the exact same issue.
I actually expected that null-ls would automatically honor project local .luacheckrc-files.
Now I'm yak shaving so that my lua buffers are not cluttered with useless error messages.

I've tried to use luachecks inline options, but those don't seem to be honored as well.

Is there a failure of understanding how null-ls interacts with luacheck?
What could we do to identify the root cause of why null-ls doesn't honor the .luacheckrc?
