I have two identical ESP21-A!s players flashed with squeezelite that have been happily connected to music assistant for months I had a power outage this morning and only 1 of the 2 players has reconnected and the device and entities for the other are gone, and the player is missing from music assistant. However, in the logs I see this:- 2026-03-31 19:55:52.500 INFO (MainThread) [music_assistant.players] Player (type protocol) registered: ap345f45267028/squeezelite-kitchen But the squeezelite-kitchen player never returns! So to test a bit further, I disable squeezelite as a player provider, then re-enabled it. Deleted the working player (name squeelite-lounge) and restarted both players. Lounge immediately came back and was disccovered again, kitchen... still nothing. This is the log during that time:- 2026-03-31 20:03:34.905 INFO (MainThread) [music_assistant.players] Player unavailable: squeezelite-kitchen Not sure if its relevant, but if I disable and re-enable airplay, I get a toaster message message saying 'nonunqiuename exception' (I've tried renaming the player... didnt help). 34:5f:45:26:70:28 is the mac address of the problem device. Thoughts ? |

Turns out it was (I think) a corrupted MA database. Reinstalling the addon and the missing player immediately reappeared. |

Same here. Reinstalling MA with purging data will fix the issue until squeezelite instances are restarted. In my setup I use an seperate server with multiple squeezelite instances (aprox. 13 systemd services). When I restart the server completely, random squeezelite players disapear. |
