completions limit reached

Question

In VS code github copilot (free) code completion limit reached although i didnt use at all.
it said limits will reset on January 28, 2025. but today it showed limits will reset on February 28, 2025.

i tried reinstallation relog in cache deletion still no progress.

I'm also having this issue. I even upgraded to Pro and it still acts like I don't have Pro and I get the popup asking me to upgrade again. Tried everything to get it to work and it never does.

I also got the limit reached warning (free plan). There's no way that I have used completions 2000 times. Now when I open the VSCode the Gopilot icon is normal in begin. Whenever I press # for commenting a line in PowerShell, the Gopilot icon gets an exclamation mark.

I wonder does # sign in PowerShell counted as completion every time even real completion wasn't used.

So... I've wasted 2,000 completions in just four days. Of course... I DID NOT!

I’ve been racking my brain for almost two weeks, convinced that something was wrong with my Visual Studio configuration. I’ve been consulting AIs looking for a fix to get those 'ghost text' Copilot autocomplete suggestions back, which suddenly stopped showing up in my IDE for no apparent reason. Finally, I found an extension called Copilot Insights, and it turns out it shows my usage quota—where it says I’ve actually hit my limit... 2,000 autocompletions?? YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

This seems dirty tricks from Microsoft to force us to a paid plan.
