Reapply Issue: Account Revoked After Initial Approval (Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia)

Hi everyone,

I'm a student at Universitas Terbuka (Indonesia's Open University), and my student developer pack was revoked after it had been initially approved.

Here's a brief timeline of what happened:

• I first attempted to verify my student status using my electronic student ID card (e-KTM) and was quickly rejected twice.

• I then submitted a temporary student ID card, and my application was approved almost instantly.

• However, the status was later changed to 'revoked' after just a few hours.

I have been trying to reapply as instructed in the email, but the 'Start an application' link redirects me to the GitHub pricing page instead of the application form. Is there a waiting period, such as 3 days, that I need to observe before I can reapply?

Hi there,

This sometimes happens due to verification issues, like submitting a photo of your student ID incorrectly. Make sure your documents meet GitHub's requirements and your profile is complete with your full name and bio. If that's not the case, I've looked at some other discussions, but could not find a solution.

I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here select "I am a verified student having trouble redeeming my Global Campus offers" and explain your issue. That way they can help.

An application is typically revoked when, after an initial review, the submitted documentation is found to be erroneous or fraudulent, or when the GitHub Terms of Service have been violated.

I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select "Other" and explain your problem. They'll be able to give you the exact reason why your application has been revoked.

You should be able to reapply after a few days, so wait until then.

any luck? @rikiwhyudi i'm trying to apply as well, i have requested and used the Surat Keterangan Aktif Sebagai Mahasiswa, but got rejected probably because i'm not in campus, not sure which branch of UT they chose to detect as campus location as well.

What proof did u use to prove that UT has distance learning?

Hey Bryan, I have been trying to verify my Github student, but everytime I have taken a photo somehow the result is blurry not sure why this is happening might be because they are compressing the photo. Do you have any tips you could share to me maybe? And when you submit e-ktm, which part of it you upload?
