Hi everyone,

I'm currently a general assembly student and I would like to get the GitHub student Developer Pack but I got an error about this below. Anyone here have some similar experience?

make sure you've verified and set as primary your academic email on github.
if it's not the case, you should give it a try, the best way would be to create a completely new fresh account with the appropriate email. Also, if you can, try to verifiy your account with an official ID document.

since your university is registered as a github campus partner, individual applications are routed through your school’s campus program administrator, which is why you are seeing that message. if the school doesn’t currently have an active admin, github support needs to update the campus records.
you wont be able to bypass the campus partner flow on your own, so the best next step is to open a ticket with github support and mention that your school has no active campus admin. they can either contact the university to appoint one or temporarily restore individual verification.
include your student id and the message you received, that will speed things up.

General Assembly is a bit of an edge case with GitHub Education. The student pack is primarily designed for students at accredited academic institutions, and bootcamps don't always qualify through the standard verification flow.

Without knowing the exact error you're seeing, the two most likely scenarios are:

1. GA might be set up as a GitHub Campus Partner with admin-managed enrollment, which means you can't apply individually through the standard form. You'd need to go through GA's program coordinator instead.
2. Your GA-issued email might not be flagged as academic in GitHub's system, so applying with a personal email won't work either.

If your error says something like "your institution requires a different process" or mentions contacting your school, that's the campus partner flow.
