When I was applying for teacher rights, after submitting the materials, it failed without any reason. The materials I submitted contained clear school information and my position information, but it still failed, and it was a failure without any reason.

The system doesn't always surface rejection reasons clearly, but the most common culprits are:

• Profile mismatch: your GitHub profile name and email should match what's on your documents. The automated system cross-references these and a mismatch can cause a silent rejection.
• Document quality: photos taken at an angle, with glare, or where the institution name isn't fully legible will fail. A flat, well-lit scan works better.
• Document type: an employment letter or official staff ID from the school is stronger than informal docs. Business cards or website screenshots typically don't pass.

A few things to try on reapplication:

• Make sure your GitHub profile name matches the name on your proof of employment before submitting.
• Try from a different device, smartphone camera sometimes works better than a webcam submission.
• If you have a school-issued email, add it and verify it on your account first.

If it keeps failing, open a ticket with GitHub Education Support at https://support.github.com/contact (select "Education") and ask for a manual review. Automated rejections can be overridden that way.
