Hello,

I am currently trying to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but my application was rejected due to verification issues.

I would like to clarify my situation:

I am a student of London Metropolitan University (UK)
I am currently studying remotely from the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
My course: BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Forensic Science (Top-up)

I understand that the issue may be related to location mismatch, as I am not physically near a campus. However, I am an active student accessing my courses online through the university portal.

For verification, I have:

My student portal screenshot showing active courses
My full name and university name
My student ID
Additional documents if required

Could you please advise:

What exact documents are required for remote/international students like me?
How can I properly prove my current enrollment status?
Should I submit a support ticket under “My school has incorrect or incomplete information”?

The strongest combination for your situation is:
Official enrollment letter from London Metropolitan University's student services/registrar — request this online through your student portal. It should show your name, course (BSc Cyber Security and Forensic Science), enrollment status, and ideally mention that you are studying remotely or via distance learning
Your London Met student email (@londonmet.ac.uk) — this is your single most powerful verification tool. Add it to your GitHub account at Settings → Emails, then apply using that email. It directly ties you to the university and often gets auto-approved without needing any camera verification at all
