It’s likely because your Copilot is still on the Edu plan. App Store purchases don’t always sync with GitHub billing, so Pro isn’t activating. Try cancelling and subscribing directly via GitHub |

This happens because your edu plan has not ended yet so when you purchased a pro plan the edu plan override the pro plan in GitHub copilot , keep the patience GitHub m support is very they will contact you soon |

Copilot in GitHub
Body
Hi everyone,
I am experiencing a billing and activation conflict between my GitHub Copilot Student (Edu) plan and my newly purchased Copilot Pro subscription.
The Issue:
I purchased a Copilot Pro subscription via the Apple App Store. My "GitHub base plan" successfully updated to GitHub Pro, but my Copilot status is still showing as "Copilot Edu."
Impact:
Because it is stuck on the Edu plan, I do not have access to premium models like Claude 3.5 Sonnet or GPT-4o in VS Code. When I try to upgrade via the website, it ignores my App Store purchase and asks for a credit card to pay another $10.00.
I have already tried "Restore Purchase" in the mobile app and signing out/in on VS Code, but the Edu plan seems to be overriding the Pro plan. I've opened a support ticket, but I'm posting here to see if any moderators can help escalate this or if anyone has a workaround.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
