I have setup a DLNA Digital Media Renderer in Home Assistant. I am using the Android App "BubbleUPnP for DLNA/Chromecast"(com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp) as a media renderer. I can play music to this renderer via the Home Assistant Media Tab. However, Music Assistant is not able to discover this renderer it. I am not able to find anything meaningful from the logs too. Version: 2.0.0b4 |

Hi, I have an Oppo-105 Blu Ray player that support DLNA playback. Initially it was working fine with MA, very quick to respond and even turns on the device from standby. However, after a few days it has stopped working and has an hourglass against it in the device list to say that it is unavailable. I've tried restarting both the player and the MA docker host but still it shows unavailable. In my most recent attempt, I deleted the player from the MA settings to see if it would perhaps re-discover it. Following a restart of the MA container it still doesn't show. Is there a tips list I can work through to see why the player is no longer visible to MA? Thanks for this great project. |

I have an old Noxon A540+ (from 2011) which works with DLNA basically (audio, metadata). But after a few seconds or minutes (seems to be random) the audio stops. The player inside MA still reports playing audio and the logs are empty (log level debug). When I restart the file or internet radio the playback starts again. Sometimes a hear some distorted audio which sound like that something went wrong during transcoding (default settings flac). MA version: 2.0.0b74 Any hint? |

I have very similar problems with discovering the DLNA renderer what based on Lyngdorf 1120 amp. My Bubblupn player on android, MusicBee and Roon player on windows, is always and with no problem can discover this renderer, but MA is constantly "loses" connection with it. Sometimes it works, but more often than not, when I log into MA in the evening after job or in the morning, expecting to stream music, I can only select "this device", and almost never Lyngdorf. Restarting HAos or the router usually helps. But that's incredibly inconvenient to do every time, so I just listen in a different way. This is my logs after reboot and trying [unsuccessfully] to discover DLNA renderer: |

I know uPNP is fraught with tweaks and player specific settings and you can never cover everything, but I wondered if it might be possible to add one of the more common tweaks for older players - stop rather than pause with live streams. In the uPNP squeezebox plugin which I use, it supports the option to send stop rather than pause for live streams because many older players don't allow pause for streams. I have 2 older devices and both need this setting, else trying to pause them via uPNP when playing a radio stream for example doesn't do anything. |
