Browser app won't connect after entering remote access id

I've just installed Music Assistant on Home Assistant in VirtualBox on Mac Monterey. Music Assistant runs fine 'within' http://homeassistant.local:8095/ on the host machine and other browsers on the LAN (Mac, iPad, iPhone). But https://app.music-assistant.io/ let's me enter the remote id, then returns 'Connection failed', whether trying from the host machine browser, or another machine on the LAN. Any help appreciated.

Don't think so as the same thing happens on the host machine. i.e. trying to open it in the browser on the machine that is running VirtualBox

But if you put in that address then you are trying to access then that is what you are accessing. homeassistant.local resolves to a local IP address such as 192.168.1.100 but app.music-assistant.io is 185.199.110.153 so not on your network

Ah so the firewall needs to allow 185... because app... goes out to a remote site? But it does bring up the remote id entry page, then I put that in, hit connect and it fails after that.

Tried a bit of 'vibe support' (Claude) and set up port forwarding but it didn't work. There's more, but the last few lines of the log read...

Well that is saying you cant even reach the local address so that would be a major problem. If you have a firewall running I suggest you shut it down for the testing.
