Issue with Intro to GitHub Completion Not Reflecting on Dashboard

Hello GitHub Learning Team,

I have successfully completed all the steps in the Intro to GitHub course, including:

Creating a branch (my-first-branch)

Adding a new file (PROFILE.md)

Committing the changes

Opening and merging a Pull Request

However, the course dashboard still shows that this section is incomplete. I have refreshed the page and waited for some time, but the status has not updated.

Could someone please help me understand why this might be happening and advise on how to resolve it?

Hello,

In each step, the tasks are provided in a specific order. I believe you may have missed one of the final steps, because if all tasks are completed correctly, GitHub usually auto-refreshes and shows the next tasks in the window.

There may be two possible issues:

You might be checking your GitHub account dashboard. Tasks do not appear there; they are always shown in the github-actions-bot repository.

As far as I remember, after completing the Pull Request, there was an additional task to merge the commit and then delete the branch. I believe the branch has not been deleted yet after merging.
