Shiny app deployment fails when static content is present in the app

While trying to deploy the Static content example via shinyapps.io in a Windows machine the deployment fails with this error message:

Validating server...    [OK]
Validating app mode...  [OK]
Making bundle ...       [OK]
Deploying bundle ...
Waiting for task: 1283149326
        [ERROR]: shinyapps.io reported an error (calling /v1/tasks/1283149326?legacy=true): Unhandled Exception: Child Task 1283149332 failed: Error parsing manifest: Bundle does not contain manifest file: www\logo.png

The deployment works on a Mac and Ubuntu machine.
Packages and versions used in the Windows machine:
shiny==0.2.9
rsconnect-python==1.15.0

i have a similar issue i described here.

I use a windows system and did not try to deploy it from a ubuntu machine yet.
Seems like subfolder content is not uploaded? I hope this is not a backward- forward shlash problem in pathnames?

Edit 29-03-2023: Switched to ubuntu and deploy works.

Using git bash on windows,
rsconnect write-manifest shiny yields:
