Focused benchmark release-safety patch. This release adds an explicit API-key-only readiness gate, removes closed #1305 from the open benchmark audit, codifies the remaining non-key benchmark implementation PR ladder, and keeps benchmark reporting fail-closed until live or recorded-real rows are actually headline eligible.

Focused live-benchmark hardening patch. This release adds injectable LLM/tool use loop seams, native competitor task-loop surfaces, live Chrome/CDP throughput execution support, recorded-real corpus validation, and stricter headline report gates so mock/scaffold rows cannot be published as competitive wins.

Focused benchmark-readiness patch for the Competitive Benchmark Suite. This release expands the suite from the v1.12.1 foundation into a fuller measurement envelope: Playwright MCP, Crawlee, and Browser Use adapters; a 5×10 token-efficiency corpus; WebVoyager task expansion from 18 to 61 tasks; speed, throughput, reliability, auth, and DX runners; cross-platform bridge smoke coverage; unified benchmark report generation; and an Epic #1254 close gate that distinguishes measured evidence from mock-only or queued live cells.

Focused follow-up to v1.12.0: merges the Competitive Benchmark Suite
(Epic #1254) under tests/benchmark/ — harness foundation, six scoring
axes, Playwright/Puppeteer competitor adapters, local fixtures, and a
cross-platform benchmark CI workflow. Also adds task-scoped browser lanes
(oc_lane_*) and opt-in codegen replay artifacts (oc_skill_export).
Default tools/list now returns 115 entries (was 110). All changes are
additive or test-only; no new mandatory runtime deps.

Largest feature release in the v1.x line: 105 PRs, ~30 new MCP tools, a
goal-level task harness, a deterministic recovery/reflection runtime, a
CLI that drives the MCP surface directly (oc run / oc playbook /
oc doctor / oc vault), Streamable HTTP daemon mode, and 2 new MCP
resources. No source files removed; no new mandatory runtime deps.

A formal transport lifecycle policy has been established in
docs/transport-lifecycle.md. The document
covers:
- The three supported transport modes (
stdio,http,both) with stability status and recommended use cases. - Stability commitments: message-shape compatibility, guaranteed notification types, and what minor versions are permitted to change.
- Deprecation policy: minimum 3 minor versions or 6 months overlap between announcement and removal, whichever is longer.
- Boot-time deprecation warning contract (implementation deferred to a follow-up code PR; no warning is emitted yet).
- Migration recipes: stdio → HTTP, and HTTP → Streamable HTTP (when #839 lands).
No transport is currently deprecated. All three transport modes remain stable with no sunset date. This section will be updated when a transport is first marked deprecated.
