Active cells: 0

I have been trying to run openEMS using Python to run a simulation of a split ring driven at the gap. I keep getting Active cells: 0, which I understand means that the simulation is not set up properly. Can someone offer some advice as to what is wrong?

@btsecurenet Have you checked your model and mesh in AppCSXCAD using the XML file output?

There are (at least) two issues that I see:

• The metal ring is closed, and you have the port on top of the metal, effectively shorting the port. Solution: the port should be in a gap, with metal touching from boths sides.
• There is some offset in y direction between the port and the metal, is that on purpose?
