M2 step 0: throwaway feasibility prototype

Throwaway scratch file proving the closure-bound feasibility for the
proposed transfer driver against `copy.rs::copy_files_with_progress_inner`.
Type-checks the three M2-step-0 exit criteria (a/b/c). To be deleted
at the end of M2.
