You need to understand that this is a project, maintained by one person, for free. There is not a company behind it. And it uses the Google Youtube api... but Google keeps changing things because it wants to eliminate these kind of programs. If you want uninterrupted service, then use the official Youtube app (with all it ads, and that's the whole purpose why Google is fighting against these programs).
I can't speak for this. I don't know the reason. Maybe someone else does (if so they might react here).
I haven't seen the sign in dialog yet in my SmartTube version (still on 30.98). But there are discussions going on in the Issues tab. It seems that Google changed some things again (I also got a toast message from my Revanced Youtube app on mobile phone). There are some message that it seems ok now (??) but others still have it. But I'm sure it's under investigation.... |

Why is it you can't report when Smart tube is acting up? All week there has been a buffering problem where videos won't play, they stop & start, constant buffering, like it can't connect to YouTube to play the video, then all of a sudden video will play, been doing that since 3-5-26, Now its back to the sign in garbage, did that a year ago, now its back again, it says I'm signed in and when I click to watch a video, it says to sign in to prove I'm not a bot, seems this was a problem a year ago according to Google search. There is no actual way to search for a problem and when you do find it, its over a year old. You can't report a problem, and if you can, they're real good at hiding it.
