Notes from API Review 4/11/24

• Will be moving to date-based versioning in next preview
• Removal of post /model/{id}/copyto -- formal breaking change
• Do we expect more categories of errors to be added later? Unlikely
• Is there a single value that represents the "quality" of a model?
  • Word error rate is the first thing to look at
  • Token error rate for formatting
  • It would be nice to have more description about how to interpret / use these values -- here in the API description
• TTL now defaults to 7d, and has explicit min and max.
• How about, rather than making TTL default, make it required so that no user is surprised.
  • Seems like a better design -- less opportunity for customer surprise
• Blob storage already has a richer TTL story than what is available here.
  • Maybe just make BYOS mandatory ?
• If there's a need for different TTLs then there should be separate properties
• It makes sense to let customers be in complete control of TTL for their own storage (after all, they are billed for it)
• Need to keep TTL for metadata that remains in the service
  • Maybe treat the metadata in the service as a cache (of data in the storage account)

This API looks good for GA, with the above changes addressed, and pending the conclusion on the breaking changes which should happen next Monday.
