Yes, we need to get the appropriate template for the different projections. I will need to talk to Charles to see if I can find a really old version of the initial.attributes file around with all the saved templates then see if we can't get them to work again in the new v2.0 for backward compatibility.

yes that will need some serious reworking of the template ticks drawing. I think for 2.0 we should probably just not draw the ticks/ticklabels then does that sound right?

I just got a call from a friend of mine at the University of Michigan. They want to use UVCDAT in a class. They need it by next Thursday.
It will be great to have students using it who don’t have a prejudice of what sort of tools they want to use.

Just a little added pressure ;-)

it's not just a matter of templates, we need to "project" the ticks as well and the labels, it used to be hard-coded into the vcs C code, now the template is drawn via python (template.py) so we will need to re-implement all this. Is turning off on projected plots OK for 2.0, and then do it correctly for 2.1
