Currently the canvas has a single layout (Force Graph) and the user has the option to move stuff in animation.
Other, data analyst targeting tools, provide multiple layouts to investigate the graph.
Simple layouts such as tree or flow diagrams provide an easy to understand and follow specific query results (answers containing paths as a result of invoking specific algorithms, for example).
