Hi, I just learned about this. I'm not a developer, just a business owner. I've been using Quickbooks desktop for 25 years! I'm thinking of switching to GnuCash. How does someone actually use what you developed to migrate data?

Hello! I have developed a way to move data from QuickBooks to OAIF. I will be offering this as a paid service, hopefully soon. It's not a simple tool, I have to do file by file, so I can't offer it as a free service or tool. My hope is that accounting software companies and open source groups will adapt their software to use OAIF natively or will develop a path to import data from OAIF. I have worked hard to make OAIF as compatible with as many accounting softwares as possible. I will be putting out the word and trying to attract interest to get the ball rolling. Stay tuned for future developments!

Hey, any update on this? While I'm not a dev, I have a dev that works on various projects for me. Is this something I can have him help me with? I'm looking to move from Quickbooks (20+ years) to Xero and just randomly came across a forum thread talking about your project. It sounds very promising!

Hey. Thanks for your interest in OAIF. Currently I am working full time on odf-kit. I expect that soon I will be able to break away as odf-kit reaches maturity. The next project is a companion to oaif. I hope to resume work on that and as its about 60% done, I hope to finish it before too long. Last will be the conversion path. Everything I can do, as fast as I can do it.
