Black background in the web version

Describe the bug
when playing the docker web version on linux using firefox and chrome the background doesnt render

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Setup the web server with docker as explained in the documentation
2. Open the game in a browser
3. Background doesn't render

Expected behavior
the background renders

• OS: Linux
• Browser: Firefox and Chrome
• Version: latest version of the docker image i don't know if it is v0.3..8 or higher

I'm experiencing the same issue here. Unfortunately the only way to fix this is either run the game within Chromium with Hardware Acceleration fully disabled or use an NVIDIA GPU and run the game within Chromium with ANGLE using the Vulkan backend.
If you do the latter with an AMD or Intel GPU you just get a full black screen with not even the UI loading.

Chromium GPU acceleration is not "experimental" on Linux. The problem is the game uses some webgl functionality that just happens to work on Chromium's D3D11 ANGLE backend and nothing else. (Even macOS is broken from my testing)
