I am running Firefox 148.0.2 on Pop OS! 22.04 LTS with Jabref 5.13. Both are installed as .deb so no flatpak. I saw that the extension was updated a few days ago, and now it does not work anymore. I tried to disable my adblocker (uBlock Origin) on zotero.org as it is suggested on the Jabref docs website, but it did not seem to make any difference.
