bug: Scrolling using gestures doesn't work on Linux

Bug description

When I'm trying to scroll through the packages list on the GUI on Linux, it won't take the scroll gestures from the current viewing window. By scroll gestures, I mean the scroll bar and 2-finger scroll in the area shown in the screenshot mentioned below.

Could you try this and see if it fixes your problem? I am unable to replicate the issue properly, so this is a bit of guesswork.

I can confirm that the dev version does not have this issue anymore. If that is planned in the next release, can we conclude this issue and mark it as solved?
