@JessicaNeedham and @rosiealice found a bug in NorESM that is also present in both CTSM main branch and E3SM, in which the pasture and rangeland dimensions are being incorrectly swapped during read in for the land use x PFT dataset. Original issue identification is in NorESMhub/CTSM#209 and NorESMhub/CTSM#205.
I just wanted to make an issue here to track the bug centrally and that all corrections are made. https://github.com/NorESMhub/CTSM/pull/209/changes fixes this in NorESM. https://github.com/ESCOMP/CTSM/pull/3902/changes fixes this in CTSM. I will submit a PR to E3SM shortly to fix it there. Once all three of those PRs are merged into their repos, we can close this issue.
