to reproduce: - upload a shape file, and view in maploom for verification - in geonode layer detail page, select download layer, download as geojson - rename the downloaded geojson file to a unique file/layername not in geoserver / geonode - upload the layer as ususal into the default geonode_imports postgis data store - verify upload succeeded and data renders properly in maploom - rename the geojson that was downloaded to a new unique file name - upload the geojson file into a geogig repo - when it complete, not that zoom to data of the layer in maploom will take you to where the data is which is not where original data was.
