Suggestion for assets library

As an extension of simulator documentation and software packages, would it be possible to create a separate repository for consolidating and archiving software assets such as URDF models?

I think this could be very beneficial for people looking for specific models for their projects as well as people who work on multiple software/simulators platforms.

oh yes absolutely.

There is a heading for that actually called UAV models but it is a bit barren though. Shall we extend this then?

I came across this repo: https://github.com/robot-descriptions/awesome-robot-descriptions which has a lot of URDF and similar robot models (including some UAVs). Might be a useful addition here.

It’s a bit broad, but we could just pick/curate the UAV-related ones. I also found a few similar repos — maybe we can even think about a small consolidated list, section or a new repo that summarizes all for UAV models.

@knmcguire shall i create a custom repo of mine that contains the files/links that is being collected from other repos ??

or add a new directory that contains the files and links like similar to this in the image

or to add links here alongside the others

@attu0 you can add a separate folder then add a page which links to those files and external links, try to follow the same hygiene as the existing pages and raise a pull request and tag either @TOTON95 or myself for review
