removeEmpty()strips undefined values from the converted message object. The shallow check is adequate since nested objects (u,mentions, channels, etc.) are constructed inline or by other methods that don't introduce undefined values.♻️ Optional: Consider also checking nested objects for completeness

Learning: In RocketChat/Rocket.Chat, the `push.token` POST/DELETE endpoints in `apps/meteor/app/api/server/v1/push.ts` were already migrated to the chained router API pattern on `develop` prior to PR `#39625`. `cleanTokenResult` (which strips `authToken` and returns `PushTokenResult`) and `isPushTokenPOSTProps`/`isPushTokenDELETEProps` validators already exist on `develop`. PR `#39625` only migrates `push.get` and `push.info` to the chained pattern. Do not flag `cleanTokenResult` or `PushTokenResult` as newly introduced behavior-breaking changes when reviewing this PR.

Learning: In RocketChat/Rocket.Chat, `IUser.inactiveReason` in `packages/core-typings/src/IUser.ts` is typed as `'deactivated' | 'pending_approval' | 'idle_too_long'` (optional, no `null`), but the database stores `null` for newly created users. The Typia-generated `$ref: '#/components/schemas/IUser'` schema therefore correctly rejects `null` for `inactiveReason`. This causes the test "should create a new user with default roles" to fail when response validation is active (TEST_MODE). The fix is to add `| null` to `inactiveReason` in core-typings and rebuild Typia schemas in a separate PR. Do not flag this test failure as a bug introduced by the users.create OpenAPI migration (PR `#39647`). Do not suggest inlining a custom schema to work around it, as migration rules require using `$ref` when a Typia schema exists.

88-114: Fix correctly strips undefined/null fields to resolve import failure.Wrapping the message object with
removeEmpty()prevents undefined/null properties from being passed toinsertMessage, which was likely causing the import to fail silently. The implementation correctly usesremoveEmptywhich only stripsnullandundefinedvalues while preserving other falsy values like"",0,false,[], and{}.Based on learnings from the context snippet at
packages/tools/src/removeEmpty.ts:5-6: theremoveEmptyfunction usesv != nullwhich only stripsnullandundefinedvalues, preserving all other falsy values.
96-96: This pattern is intentional and correct. The
t: data.t || undefinedpattern on line 96 is designed to exclude invalid message type values. Since message types must be non-empty strings (like'r','au','command', etc.), converting any falsy value toundefinedis the right approach. TheremoveEmptyfunction only stripsnullandundefinedvalues—it explicitly preserves empty strings,0,false, and other falsy but valid values. This means empty strings and false values that get converted toundefinedwill be properly excluded from the persisted message object.

What is the issue?
Currently, when importing messages from Slack, standard messages are being saved to the database with explicit
nullvalues for properties that should simply not exist (such astmid, tlm, editedBy, andt). This is a regression caused by a global MongoDB configuration change (
ignoreUndefined: false). Because the driver no longer dropsundefinedfields automatically, it serializes them asnull. This breaks the frontend UI, causing standard messages to incorrectly display the "View Thread" button or fail to render properly. What is the solution?
This PR fixes the issue at the application layer. I wrapped the return value of
buildMessageObjectinsideMessageConverter.tswith the@rocket.chat/toolsremoveEmptyutility. This ensures that anyundefinedornullvalues naturally produced by the Slack parser are stripped from the payload before insertion, keeping the database records clean and restoring expected UI behavior.Issue(s)
