Welcome to the TCG Card Shop Simulator Prologue Access mod.
V 1.0 Release
Installation
•
Copy everything from the extraction folder and paste it into the game's first layer directory.
•
Congrats, the mod is ready to go.
Menu Controls
•
Up and Down: Navigate through the menus.
•
Left and Right: Navigate grids (such as the binder or the TCG Price Market app on the phone) and move sliders in the settings menu.
•
Enter: Select an option.
•
Escape: Exit the menu.
•
Tab: Open the phone menu. This also exits the phone and returns you to the main phone screen when you are inside an app like the restock or DIY menus.
•
Most menu commands are spoken aloud when opening the menu.
In-Game Navigation
•
Home and End: Cycle through the categories of the object scanner.
•
Page Up and Page Down: Scroll through the objects in the currently selected category.
Not all categories are present, only if they have items within them. I.E. The scan category only works when there are scannable items nearby.
•
Insert (press twice): Automove towards the currently selected object in the scanner.
•
W, A, S, D, or Arrow Keys: Cancel automovement and begin manual movement.
•
Space: Jump.
Object Scanner Shortcuts
•
To save time when jumping between frequently used objects, you can target an object with the scanner and assign it a shortcut key using Alt + 0-9. This only works well with furniture objects, you can target a customer or a scannable card pack for example, but it won't target the nearest customer or cardpack, as they are not the same objects as the one you favorite.
•
To assign the shortcut, press Alt + Shift + 0-9 while the object is targeted.
•
These shortcuts should save across sessions.
In-Game Interactions
•
I (Basic Interactions): Pick up boxes, stock shelves, man the cash register, spray stinky customers with cleansing spray, place cards on empty card shelves, and toss trash into the bins.
•
U (Secondary Interactions): Open held boxes, pick up furniture, take things off shelf compartments (like card packs and cleanser), initiate the first step in opening card packs, and toggle the cleansing spray for customers.
•
Backslash (): Repeat the last spoken information when in most in game UIs like when opening card packs.
Opening Card Packs
The following steps will walk you through the mod-specific procedures for opening card packs.
•
First, place the card packs on a shelf, and toss the box into the trash when it is empty.
•
Target the specific shelf compartment where the card packs are stored, move to it with the insert key double tap, and press u to remove a pack from the shelf.
•
Press U again to begin opening it.
•
Once this is done, the game will announce the commands to interact with the UI.
•
Press and hold Space, and then hold Shift until you hear a tearing sound.
•
Important: Hold Space first and then Shift, as this prevents the screen reader from choking the text-to-speech (TTS) announcement. Pressing Shift plus Space will most likely prevent any TTS from coming through.
•
You can either continue holding Space and Shift, or tap Space to have each card announced one by one; otherwise, they will be read out as quickly as possible.
•
Builder Mode
The following steps outline how to place furniture.
•
Once you order furniture, pick up the box it is contained in, press u to open and deploy it, and then press F9.
•
Use the arrow keys to move the cursor around, starting near your character. My advice is to move your character to the trashbin, then press F9, this insures your character is not in the way of the placement. From the trashbin, move left, or west to move into the shop space. As you move around, it will announce what pathing directions are available. For best results, you'll want it to say that north, south, west, and east are available for pathing.
•
Press F to have the current coordinates read out and direction the object is facing.
•
Press Page Up and Page Down to change your movement increments.
•
Press R to rotate the furniture you are holding; it will announce the direction it is facing.
•
Press space to attempt to place the furniture.
•
If the game allows you to place the item, it means there is plenty of room around it for customers to navigate to its points of interest.
•
As you move around the shop you'll hear different layer names. Empty is how it sounds, the space is empty. There are barriers, blockers, walls, and glass. As you expand the shop, the space south in the shop will open up in small chunks. These layers are called Glass Blocker, locked room blockers.
Cash Register Controls
•
Interact with and man the cash register by pressing I when in range.
•
To leave this mode, use WAS or D to step away from it. While using the cashcounter, you won't be able to open your phone.
•
In this mode, you will know when customers queue up, allowing you to scan items, take cash, give change, or confirm their purchase on the card reader.
•
Make sure you have the Cashier category selected to use these hotkeys.
•
Toggle between Coins and Bills mode using the Plus (+) sign on the numpad or the Equal (=) sign on the number row.
•
To deal change, select the mode you want, press the corresponding number to select the denomination, and press I to hand it out.
•
In Coins mode, the numbers correspond to: 1 ($0.01), 2 ($0.05), 3 ($0.10), 4 ($0.25), 5 ($0.50).
•
In Bills mode, the numbers correspond to: 1 ($1.00), 2 ($5.00), 3 ($10.00), 4 ($20.00), 5 ($50.00).
•
Once the correct amount is dealt, press the Spacebar to confirm the transaction.
•
The system will save you from giving the wrong change if it is under, but not if it is over.
Card Shelves and Binders
•
Open your binder with R.
•
Change pages using Page Up and Page Down.
•
Select the card you want using the arrow keys or Page Up/Page Down, and then press Space to examine it more closely. Press backspace to return to the main binder grid.
•
After pressing Space on the card you want, press R to close the binder; the card will move to your hand.
•
Select the empty card shelf you want to place it on and press I. As long as it doesn't already contain a card and you are in range, it will be placed. Note card shelves are different than small or regular sized shelving units.
•
Note: You must select the "card" category specifically, rather than the whole "object card shelf" unit located in the other category.
Setting Prices
•
Switch to the price tag category, which contains only price tags.
•
If you have multiple shelves for one product, only one price tag will be available for those products, so you only have to set it once.
•
Select the price tag of the product and press I. It will announce the current market price and what you currently have it set to.
•
Type in the amount you want to set it to (for example, type 4.00 for $4.00).
•
This will change the price, and you can move on to the next price tag.
Customer Interactions & Shop Stats
•
Customers may comment on the condition of your shop, your prices, or how stanky it is.
•
These messages are accompanied by a sound and stored in a buffer that you can review using the , (comma) and . (period) keys.
•
If you hear a customer walking around with a buzzing flies sound, they are stanky and need to be sprayed with cleanser. Otherwise, they will gross out other customers and drive them away.
•
One stinky customer isn't too much of an issue as long as they leave quickly, but multiple will cause you to suffer consequences.
•
After 9 PM, press Enter to review the End of Day Report using the arrow keys.
•
Press H at any time to check the time, how much money you have, the shop's current level, and the progress to your next level.
Starting Out:
When you first start the game, you will be placed in front of your shop. This is true for any time you start a new game or continue a game from a save. The first thing you'll want to do is navigate to an object inside your shop. The object scanner has a limited range, so initially the only object that will consistently be available is the open closed sign. Move to this by pressing insert twice. Once here, other categories should become available. When starting a new game, you'll be prompted to name the shop. Press enter to select next. You'll immediately be placed in an edit box where you can type the new name you want. Be sure to backspace to clear the place holder name. Press enter, and down arrow to the done button. You can check the name by pressing up arrow, just be sure to press enter once again in order to down arrow back to the done button. Press enter, and you'll be taken to the confirmation screen where you can confirm or cancel using the arrow keys up and down. Press enter on confirm. Then follow the tutorial prompts. You can repeat the tutorial message tasks with T. To open your phone, press tab. The options are My DIY for furniture like shelves, play tables, and the like. Restock for cardpackes, accessories, and figurines. Rino Big for shop expansions, manage TCG for managing your playtables, and TCG Price for the current pricing for all products and cards. These menus do opporate differently from one another.
To purchase from the restock shop, select the item with the up and down arrow keys, and press left and right bracket to increase or decrease the number of that product you want to add to your cart, when satisfied, press enter, you'll be taken to a confirmation screen where you can review your purchase. Press enter on purchase when it is selected. To purchase licenses for products, simply press enter on them and you'll buy the license and can add them to your cart normally.
When purchasing furniture, simply press enter on the object you'd like to purchase, then enter again to confirm.
When purchasing shop expansions, you will need to page down and page back up, as there's a weird notification that pops up that prevents the focus from selecting an option in this menu. Then simply press enter on the expansions you want to purchase them.
Once the boxes are delivered to your shop, it is instant after purchasing, you'll find a boxes category and can page up and down through the category to find them and navigate to them. Press i to pick them up and then u to open them. Find an empty shelf in the shelves category and navigate to them using the insert key double tap. When in range, you can now press I to stock the shelves. Once the box is empty, navigate to the trash bin and press i to toss out the empty box. Then repeat the process for the rest of the boxes. After this, you'll need to set the price for the card packs. Do this by navigating to the pricetag category and navigating to them. Then press I. You'll be given some information. You can then type the amount you want to set the price for. No dollar signs are needed, simply type something like 3.15 to set the price and press enter. All of the price tags for the same product will be updated with this value.
Next, you'll open your shop. Find the open and close sign either in the all categories category or the other category, then navigate to it if you're not already in range and press I to flip the sign.
Next, move to the cash counter in the cashier category and press I to start manning the counter.
Next, when a customer joins the queue, there will be a new category called scan. Page up and down through this category to select the scannable items and press I on them. Once all the items are scanned, a new category called customer payment will be available, and you can select the item in this category to accept their payment. It will either be cash or card.
If cash, you'll need to give exact change. Refer to the cashier section above for instructions on how to interact with this stage.
Then repeat the process for the rest of your first day.
