I have not been able to use subtitle edit since its update. When generating audio to text it gets hung up on a word or a phrase repeating it for infinity! I haven't changed the way I am doing anything. The only thing that has changed is that subtitle edit updated.
My process:
- select format .ass
- open video and wait for wave form to generate visually
- go to speech to text and select Whisper Const-me with large 2.88 GB Model.
- select transcribe and let it do its thing
It use to generate transcripts perfectly!
Windows 11 Pro, Nvidia 3080Ti, the video is rendered in Davinci Resolve from .mp4 hybrid to .mov
I saw the notes about Nvidia GPU's and attempted to use Whisper CPP but the model would not DL.
I have spent a few hours experimenting and even tried to manually DL a model but I may be out of my depth on that.
