Thank you for your work on this software. It is a very useful tool and I appreciate the effort that has gone into it.
I would like to report an issue with opening audio files in v5.0.0 rc4.
When I try to open an audio file directly, the application does not seem to handle it correctly and may fail. However, if I start the application first and then drag and drop the audio file into the black main window, the file can be used successfully.
This behavior is not very clear from the interface. When clicking or double clicking inside the black main window, the message says "open video file", which makes the workflow unclear for users who are working with audio files.
My use case is that I create my own music and videos, and I already have the vocal track separated from the full song. I use that vocal audio file for AI transcription in order to generate an SRT subtitle file. After that, I proofread and correct the SRT file against my own lyrics.
Expected behavior:
The application should either open supported audio files directly, or clearly explain the correct way to load them.
Actual behavior:
