The videos list can’t be loaded from the RSS feed anymore in a channel's page

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. With [YouTube] Subscriptions and Channel pages do not fetch content from Videos/Live tabs #13512 going on, turn “Fetch from dedicated feed when available” on;
2. Visit a channel page and see if it shows any videos in the “Videos” tab;
3. It won’t show any videos in the “Videos” tab.

Expected behavior

If “Fetch from dedicated feed when available” is turned on, then the videos in the "Videos" tab of a channel should be fetched from the channel's RSS feed.

Once upon a time, having “Fetch from dedicated feed when available” turned on would allow you to get the most recent videos when in a channel’s page, but this seems to have been broken at some point, and now NewPipe only gets videos from the RSS feeds for the “What’s new?” section. What happens is that, even with “Fetch from…” turned on, NewPipe clearly keeps trying to get data from the local API instead of the RSS feed.

With #13512, this regression is deeply hurting the use of NewPipe, even if the RSS feeds are incomplete.

I am having the same issue on the main "What's new" page.
I also sometimes experience this when loading a playlist (it just shows up as empty, but only sometimes so I am not sure if it is related)

Can confirm: the "videos l" section under channel pages no longer loads anything. You can manually search them but its a bit of a bummer. Google must have changed something in the API?

HAs been fixed with NewPipe 0.28.7

@TobiGr How so? Just updated to 0.28.7 and left “Fetch from dedicated feed when available” on, but opening a channel's page shows all the videos, not just the only 10 videos listed in the RSS feed. The RSS feeds clearly are not being used for the channel's pages, which is what this issue was/is about (it was not a duplicate of #13512. That issue only made this issue obvious).

Can confirm both issues on NewPipe 0.28.7.

If I "Disable Fast Mode" (which is the same-thing as "Fetch from dedicated feed when available" being turned off), then:

1. For any channel I visit, the "Videos" and "Live" tabs just endlessly load (the spinner icon ⭕ is all that's shown)
2. If I go to YouTube > Subscriptions > All and do a refresh, some channels will fail to pull-data and I'll see "Items not loaded: 8", where the number at the end varies. If I tap refresh again, it never drops below "Items not loaded: 3".

If I "Enable Fast Mode" (same-thing as "Fetch from a dedicated feed when available" being enabled), neither is an issue¹.

¹ Though I do sometimes get "Could not parse website" when tapping on a "Live" tab for a channel if there is an upcoming one, with the error saying:
