build version 4.9.3 with MSVC 2022 and CMAKE GUI

I have downloaded the 4.9.3 version and there are many issues related to HDF5 and CURL. Despite the fact that I provide the correct address of the include, dir, and libs, in many scripts I See HDF5::HDF5 and the same for curl.
I see that this also was an issue a few years ago.
Is there a cleaner version of the scripts ?

I am facing similar issues trying to build 4.9.3 on linux. I've applied the patch in #3132 , and I also had to add many more target_link_libraries statements in different CMakeLists.txt files . I got it to build, but I am not super confident with CMake and the structure and organization of the netcdf source code and tests, so my changes feel very patchy. Not sure if maybe I am missing a simpler fix - feels odd to have to make so many changes to just be able to build the library.

I am using the following CMake options (so using HDF5 and CURL, but NOT enabling NCZARR)

  -DCURL_INCLUDE_DIRS:PATH=$(CURL_DIR)/include/ \

EDIT: I should mention that I am also using CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX - a non-standard install location for netcdf as well as for its upstream dependencies, hdf5 and curl. My best guess is that netcdf's CMake logic for several different executables and tests might not fully account for these less-frequent workflows.
