@DennisHeimbigner this PR was superseded by #2586 which was merged a year ago. This PR was old, stale and unnecessary, so I just closed it :). |

Add a NC_UDF2 format specifier which allows classic and pnetcdf formats.
NC_UDF0 and NC_UDF1 are restricted to NETCDF4 formats.
