Modularus is a research operating system kernel implementing a fully dynamic, hyper-modular architecture in which all subsystems can be replaced at runtime. Kernel components communicate through a unified VFS-based interface extending the “everything is a file” design philosophy. The architecture does not conform strictly to monolithic, microkernel, or exokernel models, instead forming a self-bootstrapped, structurally reconfigurable system.
