Does this code require custom programming of the FT232H?

Does this code require custom programming of the FT232H's EEPROM, e.g. via the FTDI prog program, or can it work with new stock FT232 as is?

The reason I ask is that I don't see where the FIFO mode of the FT232H is selected (e.g. vs UART, or JTAG modes).

The external EEPROM chip of FT232H should be programmed to let FT232H work in the sync FIFO mode.

We do not program the EEPROM through the Python program, but through the official FT_prog software provided by FTDI.
