I have done your steps (with 2 factor auth), and tried with another account too. But nothing.
The plugin is succesfully loaded, and the torrent client can see it, but when I start a search, nothing happened.
No errors, no crash...

Same here, input my credentials, loaded the file, plugin loaded properly and when I try to search for anything nothing comes up. other plugins work fine. No results. Would be nice if it worked since some networks made nCore inaccessible so having my server access it via BitTorrent on my home network would be a big help.

I found this as an alternative. it is in Hungarian but I reckon most people using the site will understand it. This worked for me.

Thanks for the recommendation, first it looked like it was gonna work
I tried this, edited it as instructed(got the pass cookie through chrome dev/application/cookies) but it it didn't work it wrote: the search module installation was unsuccessful, the extension/plugin is not supported.
Do you have some idea what could be the matter? For me it looks like something is not ok with the .py provided on the ncore forum post, at http://finderss.it.cx/ncore.py

I managed to get it working by following the first instruction from here: https://ncore.pro/wiki.php?action=read&id=2123.

As a first step, log out of nCore, then log back in, but when logging in, make sure to check the “Reduced security” checkbox (if you didn’t already do so last time). This is necessary because otherwise your browser will not create the “pass” value that you will need later for searching in qBittorrent. (You can safely log out and log back in normally afterward; this is only required while you are setting things up.)

Then copy the value of the pass cookie and paste it into the passhash variable.
