This is a sensitive dependency as we know. That said, hopefully a patch bump is really a patch bump.
I've done a very cursory look at https://hadoop.apache.org/docs/r3.4.1/. Of note is https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-18073, https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/attachment/13047026/Upgrading%20S3A%20to%20SDKV2.pdf. I'm not sure if this matters to us or not.
I'm not enabling automerge right now. Handing off to @malhotrashivam for deeper review.
