Custom message handling when app is closed

Hi,

I'm trying to use the custom receiver on android, when the app is in foreground or background works, but when is closed don't work.

Any help?

We're experiencing the same. The provided example uses customFCMReceiver = new CustomFCMReceiver(); which gets wiped when the Android app is closed.

On our own app and using this sample app, when FirebasePluginMessagingService receives a data message and spins up the app to execute onMessageReceived, the list of custom receivers in FirebasePluginMessageReceiverManager is empty and the data message gets queued to be executed when the app is reopened.

There needs to be some way for the receivers to persist even when the app is closed, or have the receivers init when the Android app is being spun up to handle the notification received in the background.
