Modular Engineering (ME) is a proposed Tractus-X KIT that serves as the engineering project instantiation and execution layer within the federated ecosystem. It transforms product and project definitions from PPM into modular, executable engineering structures - defining objects, processes, and activities that guide technical development.
ME enables the orchestration and management of modular engineering projects, linking requirements, sub-systems, and tasks across organizations. Through its integration with Engineering as a Service (EaaS), it supports dynamic extension of engineering capacity via trusted, data-sovereign collaborations.
ME thereby acts as the operational runtime for engineering - where structured processes, modular design, and collaborative execution converge.
