ideally yes, these are quite distinct things

though in a pinch, most dam icons can be used for breakwaters and it will beat generic icon or no icon

for breakwater/groyne/dyke - distinction would be nice but I have no idea how to achieve it, at all (and a bit hazy on how they differ from each other)

I also though about making water in breakwater one more wavy/aggressive (to suggest its function) but I see no space available for doing this

I think I'll stick with these versions, because I want to have consistent water shape across all the icons.

No, I'm always open to any suggestions and sometimes really need them. This is just a disclaimer that I don't want to include icons completely drawn by someone else, to keep this a personal design project.
