I think a stopwatch-themed icon here would be pretty appropriate. Something simple like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stopwatch#/media/File:Stopwatch.gif where we have an analog face and the buttons at the top. If it's an analog face, we can easily indicate time elapsing by moving the indicator to 15 seconds and shading in the area between it and the starting place. Adding the numbers would likely make it busy so we can leave that off, but that'd be a good starting place I think for an abstract representation of a stopwatch.
