I find this rule tedious and kinda pointless. I've honestly never encountered the issue in 13 years of web development.
That said, I do understand why it's recommended. But considering everyone here is developing react apps, chances are they're also working in ES5+ environments.
Please consider dumping this rule (or using local eslint config files—such as in the local package.json). Thanks!
