Description

The Terraform AWS Provider documentation has officially been migrated from https://terraform.io/docs/providers/aws/ to https://registry.terraform.io/providers/hashicorp/aws/, which means that legacy pieces required for terraform.io operation can be removed. This includes the side navigation file, website/aws.erb.

Given there are a large number of open contributions for this file, we would prefer to announce or preferably notify contributors of this change before removing the file and causing contribution issues. This may be done along with #14292 and more general notifications associated with updating contributions to Terraform Plugin SDK version 2.

Definition of Done

• Contribution Guide updated to remove references to "sidebar", "side navigation", website/aws.erb
• General announcement of change or individual pull request notifications sent
• git rm website/aws.erb
