Vertical scroll positioning with pixel accuracy is important e.g. if AvalonEdit is used as source code editor for markdown. When the user clicks into the preview window, the source code should be scrolled vertically so that the corresponding source code position matches with the preview position. For an implementation see the markdown editor in the Altaxo project.
