comid code point registry for extensions

If a profile extends an extension point in the base schema then the extension may need to use profile specific code point names.
E.g., if profile=my-prof then a map extension might be

$$comid-map-extension //= {
   my-prof.new-thing => my-map
}

The string 'my-prof' should be reserved somehow so that a different profile entity doesn't select the same name.
Is there a way to add this to the corim IANA registry?
